AMERICA’S GOT TALENT QUARTERFINALS VOTING IS CLOSEDSOFÍA VERGARA HAS HIT THE LIVE GOLDEN BUZZER!

Los Angeles, Aug. 20, 2025 - Tonight was a crucial night in Season 20 of America’s Got Talent. Voting wrapped up for the first week of live quarterfinals, and the judges hit their prized Golden Buzzers.

Sofía Vergara hit her Golden Buzzer for country singer Steve Ray Ladson. His sultry original song amazed the studio audience and judges. As a result, he moved straight to the semifinals. Earlier in the episode, Simon Cowell pressed the Golden Buzzer for LightWire. Their mix of light and shadow choreography impressed him. Meanwhile, Mel B gave her quarterfinal Golden Buzzer to Charity Lockhart after her touching performance of “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Voting for the Top 44 acts opened at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday and closed at 7 a.m. ET today, Wednesday, August 20. Fans voted for their favorite quarterfinalists at NBC.com/AGTVote or through the AGT mobile app. They could cast up to ten votes. The results will be revealed tomorrow night during the live results show at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
