Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Release Date, Gameplay Trailer Unveiled at Gamescom Opening Night Live

Cologne, Germany – August 20, 2025. During Gamescom’s Opening Night Live, Activision and Treyarch shared the gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The game is set to launch worldwide on November 14, 2025. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net and Steam. It will also support Game Pass Ultimate on day one.

The trailer showcased a team-based campaign for up to four players. It continued the story from Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. David Mason once again faces the villain Raul Menéndez in 2035. New “omnimovement” mechanics include super jumps, slides, wall climbs, and grappling hooks. These were shown in various places like Nicaragua, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Alaska, and the made-up city of Avalon.

In addition to co-op, Treyarch detailed:

  • The multiplayer suite has 16 maps: 13 new ones and 3 classics from Black Ops 2. It features two big 20v20 Skirmish arenas. Players can use wingsuits, grappling hooks, and vehicles in battles.
  • Overclocked Gear lets scorestreaks, field upgrades, and equipment grow as you use them.
  • Round-based Zombies feature the biggest Black Ops map yet. New vehicle gameplay is included. Survival maps return after last being seen in Black Ops 2. Players will also meet alternate versions of the original undead heroes.

Pre-order bonuses include early access to the beta on October 2 for those who pre-order and eligible Game Pass subscribers. Then, an open beta will run from October 5 to 8./strong>.
