Google Unveils Pixel 10 Series at “Made by Google” Event

NEW YORK, August 20, 2025 –strong> – During the annual “Made by Google” keynote in New York City, Google revealed the Pixel 10 lineup. This event marks a decade of Pixel innovation. The series includes four new smartphones: Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 10 Pro Fold. They are powered by Google’s next-gen Tensor G5 chipset and feature advanced AI photography.

You can pre-order the Pixel 10 family right away. They will ship and hit stores on August 28. This includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, along with the newly announced Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, will follow on October 9./strong>.

Tensor G5 and AI Photography Enhancements

Google’s Tensor G5 is TSMC’s first SoC. It boasts a 73% increase in CPU performance over the previous version. It also features up to 16 GB of RAM in all models. The Camera app now has new AI tools. Camera Coach provides real-time shooting tips. You can also use Conversational Photo Editing for easy edits. These features will come to older Pixel models in future Feature Drops.

Display, Battery and Charging

  • Pixel 10: 6.3″ FHD+ OLED, 120 Hz refresh rate; 5,015 mAh battery with 30 W wired and 15 W wireless charging
  • Pixel 10 Pro: 6.3″ LTPO OLED, 1-120 Hz; 4,870 mAh battery with 29 W wired and 15 W wireless charging
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL: - 6.8″ LTPO OLED, 1-120 Hz - 5,200 mAh battery with 39 W wired and 15 W wireless charging - All models have Gorilla Glass Victus 2 features front and back protection. It has peak brightness of 3,000 nits in HDR. Plus, it offers a new MagSafe-style magnetic charging system. However, the magnet rings are in the official Pixel cases, not in the phone’s chassis.

Camera Systems

The entire Pixel 10 range gains telephoto optics for the first time on the vanilla model:

  • Main: 50 MP
  • Ultra-wide: 13 MP (vanilla) or 48 MP (Pros) with macro mode
  • Telephoto: - 11 MP (vanilla) - 48 MP (Pros) - 5× optical zoom - Macro hybrid stabilization
  • Front: 42 MP ultra-wide selfie lens on Pro models; single 10 MP shooter on the Pixel 10.

Pricing and Storage

Google has maintained 2024 price points for the Pixel 10 series in the U.S.:

  • Pixel 10 (128 GB): $799
  • Pixel 10 (256 GB): $899
  • Pixel 10 Pro (256 GB): $999 (starting)
  • Pixel 10 Pro XL (256 GB): $1,099 (starting) Higher storage tiers up to 1 TB are available on Pro models.

Wearables and Accessories

The Pixel Watch 4 comes in two sizes: 41 mm and 45 mm. It has better battery life and new health-tracking sensors. Google rolled out the Pixel Buds 2a. These earbuds have active noise cancellation and come in four colors that match Pixel devices.

Today’s announcements show Google’s focus on blending hardware with AI software. This sets the stage for a competitive year ahead.
