Barcelona News – August 23, 2025

Barcelona rolled out a big urban navigation update today. At the same time, FC Barcelona got ready for tonight’s La Liga match against UD Levante, revealing an impressive lineup.
To update wayfinding in the city, Barcelona’s transport authority placed 9,800 vibrant QR-code signs at bus and metro stops. Each station has codes that are easy to scan. They guide users to real-time route maps, service alerts, and nearby attractions. This makes journeys easier for both commuters and tourists.
FC Barcelona coach Hansi Flick revealed his starting XI for tonight’s away game at Ciutat de Valencia. He made two key changes. Marcus Rashford will make his debut for Blaugrana on the left wing. Raphinha will move to a central attacking role. Also, academy graduate Marc Casado returns to midfield, filling in for Frenkie de Jong, who is absent for the birth of his second child. Barcelona looks for two wins in a row to kick off the 2025/26 La Liga season. The defensive unit will stay the same.
