Powerball Update: No Draw Tonight, Promotional Contest Announced

Tonight’s Powerball drawing won’t happen. It’s usually held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. The Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) has picked 16 lottery players for the first-ever NASCAR Powerball Playoff™ contest.

The promotion, revealed on the official Powerball website, gives selected participants a chance to win $1 million. This opportunity comes during the NASCAR playoffs this fall. Winners of the contest will get a playoff race. If their driver wins, the lottery player wins the grand prize.

Today, no one won the jackpot. The next Powerball drawing will be on Monday, August 25, 2025. It has an estimated jackpot of $700 million, or a cash value of $316 million.

Players can buy standard Powerball tickets for $2 per play. They can add the Power Play® option for $1. This option raises non-jackpot prizes by 2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, or 10×, depending on the drawn multiplier. The next drawing will take place Monday at 10:59 p.m. ET.
