Ravens Shut Out Commanders in Preseason Finale

August 23, 2025 – The Baltimore Ravens wrapped up their preseason with a 14–0 win over the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field. Baltimore took an early lead and used solid defense to secure the shutout.

The Ravens scored first just six minutes into the game. Running back Rasheen Ali finished a 14-play, 70-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown run. Tyler Loop added the extra point (6:36 1Q). Baltimore grew its lead in the third quarter. Cooper Rush led a strong drive, ending with a 5-yard rush by Ali. The score rose to 14–0 with 3:12 left in the quarter.

On offense, Rush hit all 5 passes for 59 yards, earning a 115.8 passer rating. Meanwhile, Rasheen Ali had 6 carries for 21 yards and scored a touchdown. D’Ernest Johnson had 9 carries for 38 yards. LaJohntay Wester led the receivers with 2 catches for 28 yards.

Washington’s offense never found traction. Quarterback Sam Hartman was 4-of-5 for 11 yards. Chris Rodriguez Jr. had 34 yards on five carries. Still, neither found the end zone. The Commanders finished with zero points despite possession opportunities in each half.

Defensively, Baltimore restricted Washington to a mere 11 yards through the air and 34 on the ground. The Ravens’ front seven put constant pressure on Hartman. At the same time, the secondary broke up crucial third-down passes to keep the shutout intact.

With the preseason now complete, the Ravens end summer action 3–0, while the Commanders fall to 0–3. Both teams shift focus to final roster cuts before the regular season opener.
