Packers Dominate Preseason Clash, Topple Seahawks 20-7 at Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY, Wis. ((Aug. 23, 2025) – The Green Bay Packers began their preseason with a solid 20-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday at Lambeau Field. The Packers dominated the game with solid offense and a strong defense. They took charge early and never let go.

In the first quarter, rookie receiver Romeo Doubs caught a 1-yard touchdown pass from Malik Willis. This followed a 14-play, 96-yard drive. Brandon McManus added the extra point, making the score 7–0 for Green Bay. Under four minutes later, McManus kicked a 48-yard field goal. This made the score 10–0, with the drive starting at Seattle’s 30-yard line.

The Packers kept up the pressure in the second quarter. Taylor Elgersma connected with Will Sheppard for a 3-yard touchdown. This was part of an eight-play drive that went 47 yards. McManus’s ensuing extra point boosted the advantage to 17–0. As time ran out in the half, McManus nailed a 52-yard field goal. This put Green Bay ahead 20-0 at halftime.

Seattle scored late in the fourth quarter. Jalen Milroe led a drive that ended with a five-yard touchdown pass to Žеřej Foreman. This prevented a shutout and settled the final score at 20-7. Milroe finished 13-of-24 for 148 yards, one touchdown and five sacks taken.

Packers quarterbacks had a good game. Willis threw one touchdown and faced little pressure. Elgersma also added a scoring pass while stepping in. Brandon McManus made all four of his kicks, adding eight points to the Packers’ total of 20.

Green Bay’s defense was strong. They forced several three-and-outs and held Seattle to only 102 total yards until a late score. The victory moves the Packers to 2–1 on the preseason, while Seattle falls to 1–1–1.

Next, the Packers come back home for their final preseason game. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are set to kick off the regular season at San Francisco on Sept. 7.
