Twins and White Sox Set for Saturday Showdown at Guaranteed Rate Field

CHICAGO (Aug. 23, 2025) - Tonight, the Minnesota Twins play the Chicago White Sox. This is the second game of a four-game series. The first pitch is set for 7:10 p.m. CT at Guaranteed Rate Field.
In Friday’s opener, the Twins snapped a three-game skid with a 9–7 victory over Chicago. Royce Lewis had a great game with three hits. He hit a grand slam in the fourth inning, driving in four runs. This really fired up Minnesota’s offense.
Chicago will send out right-hander Davis Martin (4–9, 3.94 ERA). He lost last night’s game, even though he allowed only four runs in five innings. Minnesota’s starting pitcher has yet to be announced.
Oddsmakers favor the Twins at –118 on the money line, with the over/under set at 9 runs. Minnesota needs to win by at least two runs to cover the –1.5 run line. Chicago comes in at +100 to win outright and +1.5 runs on the run line.
Tonight’s matchup features:
- Royce Lewis (MIN), riding the momentum of his grand slam and multi-hit night
- Davis Martin (CWS), seeking his fifth win after delivering a quality start on Friday
- Line: Twins –118; White Sox +100; Over/Under 9
A win tonight would bring Minnesota above .500 in their last ten games. But if Chicago wins, it could worsen the Twins’ recent struggles. Fans can catch all the action on ESPN or the MLB.tv livestream.
