Juventus Open Serie A Campaign with 2–0 Win Over Parma

TURIN, August 24, 2025 – Juventus began the 2025–26 Serie A season with a strong 2–0 win over newly promoted Parma at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday evening.

At halftime, the score was still 0-0. In the 59th minute, Jonathan David, making his debut as a striker, scored to change that. Kenan Yildiz sprinted down the left side and sent a perfect cross. David skillfully finished it with the outside of his boot. This marked his first goal in black and white.

Juventus’ lead was put at risk when left wing-back Andrea Cambiaso got a straight red card in the 83rd minute. He was sent off for an off-the-ball challenge on Mathias Fjortoft Lovik. Yet, despite being reduced to ten men, the hosts sealed all three points just 60 seconds later. Yildiz sprinted into the box, showing off Juve’s quick counter. He laid it off to Dusan Vlahovic, who tapped it in to clinch the win.

Gleison Bremer’s goal-line intervention at the start of the second half kept Parma from scoring. He denied Mateo Pellegrino’s close shot, which helped Juventus fight back. The Bianconeri now focus on next weekend’s away game. They want to keep their winning streak under coach Igor Tudor.
