Powerball Numbers for August 23 Draw Spark Massive $750 Million Jackpot Build-up

Sunday, August 24, 2025
In last night’s Powerball drawing, no ticket matched all six numbers. This pushed the grand prize into the Top 10 of all time. The winning numbers for Saturday, August 23, 2025, were drawn as:
- White balls: 11 – 14 – 34 – 47 – 51
- Red Powerball: 18
- Power Play® multiplier: 2
Even though the headline jackpot is still unclaimed, three lucky players won million-dollar prizes by matching all five white balls. Two tickets won $1 million each: one in Maine and one in New York. A ticket from South Dakota added the Power Play option, doubling its prize to $2 million.
Secondary prizes rewarded thousands more:
Prize Tier Winners Prize Amount |
---|
Match 5 + Power Play® 1 (South Dakota) $2 million |
Match 5 2 (Maine, New York) $1 million each |
Match 4 + Powerball® 31 $50,000 each |
Match 4 5 $100,000 each |
Match 3 + Powerball® 974 $100 each |
Match 3 2,282 $7 each |
Match 2 + Powerball® 58,202 $7 each |
Powerball only 375,363 $4 each |
Since there was no jackpot winner, the drawing on Monday, August 25, will have an estimated prize of $750 million. If you choose the cash option, it’s $338.6 million. This jackpot is the tenth-largest in Powerball history.
Powerball tickets cost $2 each. You can buy them in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings happen every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. They take place in Tallahassee, Florida, and you can watch them live on Powerball.com.
Players can add the Power Play® option for an extra $1. This multiplier boosts non-jackpot prizes by up to 10×, depending on the draw. The overall odds of winning any prize remain 1 in 24.9, while the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
Next drawing: Monday, August 25, 2025, 10:59 p.m. ET, with an estimated jackpot of $750 million before taxes.
