Cardinals Edge Raiders 20-10 in Preseason Finale

GLENDALE, Ariz., Aug. 24, 2025 - The Arizona Cardinals finished their 2025 preseason with a 20-10 win against the Las Vegas Raiders at State Farm Stadium last night.

Geno Smith threw a 17-yard touchdown pass to Dont’e Thornton Jr. on the Raiders’ first drive. This put Las Vegas ahead 7-0 late in the first quarter. Arizona tied the game at 7-7 just before the quarter ended. Rookie quarterback Clayton Tune connected with Simi Fehoko for a 10-yard touchdown.

In the second quarter, Daniel Carlson kicked a 52-yard field goal, giving the Raiders a 10-7 lead. But then, Cardinals kicker Chad Ryland answered with a 23-yarder. This tied the game at 10 as they headed into halftime.

Arizona seized control in the second half. The Cardinals added a touchdown in the third quarter. They followed that with a field goal in the fourth. This helped them win, 20-10.

The preseason finale offered valuable reps for depth players on both sides. Arizona’s win brings the Cardinals to 2-1 in exhibition games. Now, they’re set to finalize their 53-man roster with coach Jonathan Gannon. Las Vegas sits at 1-2 in the preseason. They assessed various backup and special-teams players with new head coach Pete Carroll.
