Law enforcement swept the building and surrounding grounds, declaring the scene clear and lifting the secure status for students by mid-afternoon.

Fayetteville Public Schools Placed on Secure Status In response to the campus alert, Fayetteville Public Schools transitioned to a secure status for all district buildings at approximately 1:30 p.m. Students remained in classrooms with doors locked and no one admitted without verification. All after-school activities were postponed until the secure status was lifted.
