First Local School Leadership Council Meeting Scheduled for August 25

Los Angeles, CA - The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will convene its inaugural Local School Leadership Council (LSLC) meeting on Monday, August 25, 2025. The session is set to take place from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. via Zoom, with details and access information available on the district’s parent portal.
The LSLC brings together parents, staff, students, and community members to guide site-level decisions on school governance, budgeting, and academic programs. As a key component of LAUSD’s strategy to foster local engagement and shared accountability, the council will:
- Review the school’s Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) priorities
- Advise on allocation of site resources to support student achievement
- Facilitate collaboration among all stakeholders to address campus-specific needs
LAUSD encourages all interested families and community partners to participate remotely and contribute to shaping the district’s educational priorities at the school level.
