Apple Announces “Awe Dropping” Special Event for September 9

Cupertino, Calif., Aug. 26, 2025 - Apple today sent invitations to members of the press for its annual fall product unveiling, branding the keynote as an “Awe dropping” event scheduled for 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, September 9 at Apple Park.

The announcement confirms that Apple will reveal its next-generation iPhone 17 lineup, featuring four models: the standard iPhone 17, the ultra-thin iPhone 17 Air, and the premium iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. All models are expected to run on the new A19/A19 Pro chips with ProMotion displays as a standard feature, while the iPhone 17 Air replaces the traditional “Plus” variant with a 6.6-inch display and Apple’s in-house C1 modem.

In addition to the new iPhones, Apple is widely expected to update its wearable and audio portfolios. The Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and Apple Watch SE 3 are all slated for simultaneous refreshes-the first time Apple has updated its entire smartwatch range at once. Potential audio and home-entertainment announcements include AirPods Pro 3, a refreshed HomePod mini, and a new Apple TV 4K.

Beyond hardware, Apple will also provide launch dates for its next major software releases: iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, and visionOS updates. The event will be livestreamed on apple.com, the Apple TV app, and YouTube, with full media coverage to follow across Apple’s channels.
