Sacramento, CA (August 26, 2025) - California Lottery officials report strong jackpots across both of the state’s flagship multistate draw games as players prepare for Tuesday and Wednesday night draws.

Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $253 Million The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing has climbed to an estimated $253 million, with an estimated cash value of $113.8 million. Tuesday’s draw follows Friday’s 18-30-44-48-50 Mega Ball 12 winning combination, which produced no jackpot winners.

Powerball Jackpot Soars to $815 Million Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot surged to an estimated $815 million for Wednesday’s drawing, marking the seventh-largest jackpot in game history. Monday night’s drawing produced no ticket matching the six drawn numbers-16, 19, 34, 37, 64 and Powerball 22-resetting the prize pool to this record level.

Winners in both games will have the choice between a 30-year annuity option or a reduced lump‐sum cash payout. Mega Millions players face an estimated lump‐sum of $113.8 million before taxes, while Powerball winners opting for cash would receive approximately $367.9 million before federal withholdings.

Play Responsibly Lottery proceeds continue to support California public schools, and officials urge players to play responsibly and within their budgets. Tickets for Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing can be purchased until 7:45 PM, and Powerball sales close at 7 PM on Wednesday.
