Rachel Sennott’s HBO Comedy Series Officially Titled “I Love LA,” Sets November Premiere Date

Rachel Sennott’s long-anticipated HBO comedy series has received its official title-I Love LA-and will premiere on Sunday, November 2, at 10:30 PM ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max.
In the eight-episode season, Sennott stars as Maia, the driving force behind an ambitious friend group navigating life and romance in Los Angeles. New episodes will roll out weekly until the season finale on December 21.
Cast and Production Maia’s circle includes Odessa A’zion as Tallulah, Jordan Firstman as Charlie, True Whitaker as Alani, and Josh Hutcherson as Dylan. Guest appearances are slated from Leighton Meester, Moses Ingram, Lauren Holt, Elijah Wood, Quenlin Blackwell, Josh Brener, Tim Baltz, Froy Gutierrez, and Colin Woodell.
Sennott serves not only as the series creator, writer, and lead actress but also as an executive producer alongside Emma Barrie, Aida Rodgers, and Max Silvestri. Directing duties are shared by Lorene Scafaria, Bill Benz, Kevin Bray, and Sennott herself.
Background Originally ordered as an untitled pilot in March 2024 by HBO, the project underwent multiple casting announcements before settling on its ensemble. Josh Hutcherson replaced Miles Robbins in May 2025 following script revisions, and in June 2025, Moses Ingram and Lauren Holt joined in supporting roles.
I Love LA marks Sennott’s debut as a series creator. She is best known for her breakthrough in Shiva Baby (2020) and as co-writer, co-star, and executive producer on Bottoms (2023). The new series represents HBO’s strategy to refresh its half-hour comedy slate alongside projects like Tim Robinson’s The Chair Company and forthcoming series from Dan Levy.
