Opioid Task Force Convening The Williamson County Opioid Task Force met at the Williamson County Administrative Complex in Franklin at 1:30 PM to review ongoing initiatives aimed at reducing opioid misuse. County health and law enforcement representatives discussed progress on treatment referrals, outreach programs, and plans for expanding naloxone distribution to first responders and community partners.

Chamber Ribbon Cuttings & Networking Mixer Williamson, Inc., the county’s Chamber of Commerce, hosted two events today:

Commissioners Court Meeting and Budget Adoption The Williamson County Commissioners Court convened in Georgetown for its regular meeting at 9 AM. Agenda items included the formal adoption of the fiscal year 2025-26 county budget, totaling $671.1 million across the general, road & bridge, and debt service funds. The approved budget allocates $20 million for ahead-of-schedule debt reduction and funds 39.5 of 114.5 requested new full-time positions, with priority given to essential public services and infrastructure.

Tonight’s Commissioners Court Public Session A public session of the Commissioners Court commenced at 7 PM in the Historic Courthouse, allowing citizens to comment on tax rate considerations and capital improvement projects scheduled for the coming year.
