Ashley McBryde’s Redemption Bar Opens in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - On Thursday, country singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde officially opened Redemption Bar, her non-alcoholic-forward lounge and performance venue located on the fifth floor of Eric Church’s Chief’s entertainment complex, ushering in a new gathering spot for Music City’s songwriting community and sober-curious patrons.
The venue’s launch at 200 Broadway follows McBryde’s announcement earlier this month of her partnership with Church’s six-story bar to create a dedicated space that “champions what’s made a difference in my life” by offering a menu of meticulously crafted zero-proof cocktails alongside traditional alcoholic beverages. Designed with songwriters in mind, Redemption Bar features a small stage for intimate performances by both established and up-and-coming artists, a tribute to the “back-porch, dive-bar” ethos that shaped McBryde’s own career.
In a statement marking the opening, McBryde explained, “Redemption is a great place to start a conversation. A spot with incredible drinks of all kinds that are as well crafted and thought out as the songs you’re hearing from the vagabonds, drifters, and dreamers that make this music city, Music City.” She underscored the venue’s mission to normalize sobriety in Nashville’s nightlife, noting that the space “lifts up the brushed-aside, and makes sure everyone feels welcome”.
Redemption Bar’s debut coincides with the upcoming launch of McBryde’s four-night Redemption Residency at Chief’s Neon Steeple, set for October 14-15 and December 11-12. Tickets for the residency went on sale earlier this month, promising “you-had-to-be-there moments” and evolving setlists hand-curated by McBryde herself.
