Trump Calls for RICO Charges Against George Soros and His Son

WASHINGTON, Aug 27 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that billionaire financier George Soros and his son should be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). “George Soros, along with his radical leftist son, should be prosecuted under RICO for their backing of violent protests and much more across the United States… Soros and his cadre of extremists have inflicted significant harm on our nation! This also includes his eccentric friends on the West Coast. Be cautious, we are monitoring your actions!” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.

The call represents the latest escalation in Trump’s ongoing attacks on Soros, whom he and other conservative figures have long accused of secretly funding liberal causes and protests. Representatives for George Soros and the Open Society Foundations did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
