Meghan Markle Faces Criticism Over Prince Harry’s Absence from “With Love, Meghan” Season 2

By Entertainment Desk LONDON, August 27, 2025

Meghan Markle’s much-anticipated second season of her Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, premiered yesterday, yet it has already become the subject of tabloid scrutiny due to the notable absence of her husband, Prince Harry.

Royal commentator Phil Dampier told The Sun that Harry’s non-appearance suggests he may have “bigger fish to fry,” noting that while Season 1 featured a surprise cameo at Meghan’s garden brunch, Season 2 offers only photographs and anecdotes about the Duke of Sussex.

Similarly, expert Jennifer Newton of the Mirror lamented that Harry received “no cameo appearance” this time, despite Meghan sharing personal stories-such as who said “I love you” first-and gifting him personalized caps for his 40th birthday. Newton argued that even a brief 30-second clip would have “spiced up” the show and satisfied viewers eager to see the couple together.

Producers of With Love, Meghan have focused on intimate, everyday moments-cooking segments, DIY projects, and candid chats with celebrity friends-while deliberately distancing the program from overt royal narrative. Meghan has previously positioned the series as a platform for sharing domestic tips and social-justice reflections, rather than royal exposés.

Despite the criticism, early audience reactions on social media praise the series’ warm tone and relatable content, suggesting that Meghan’s strategy of emphasizing lifestyle over controversy may resonate with Netflix subscribers.

The second season of With Love, Meghan is now streaming worldwide.
