Paramount+ News - August 27, 2025

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 27, 2025 - Paramount+ today expanded its streaming lineup and dominated global charts, reinforcing its position as a premier destination for new original programming and top-ranked series.

Paramount+ premiered two highly anticipated titles on its platform. “Baby Shark’s Big Show!” Season 3 launched on the service this morning, bringing fresh family-friendly adventures to younger viewers. That same day saw the debut of the historical documentary series “Liberation: D-Day to Berlin” (Season 1), chronicling the Allied advance across Europe in World War II.

In addition to its new releases, Paramount+ originals continued to perform strongly on streaming charts. According to FlixPatrol’s global rankings for August 27, “South Park” retained its position as the most-watched series on Paramount+ worldwide, amassing 279 points, while “Stans,” the Eminem-produced documentary, led the movie chart with 244 points. In the United States specifically, “Dexter: Resurrection” topped the overall chart and “Stans” remained the most-viewed film on the service.

Paramount+ also marked its sports programming dominance this week, streaming live coverage of the NFL preseason and college-football matchups-efforts that have driven subscriber engagement and viewership upward as the fall season begins.

With today’s premieres and continued chart success, Paramount+ underscores its commitment to offering a blend of family entertainment, historical documentaries, and top-performing series to a diverse global audience.
