Taos welcomed a lively mix of arts, music, and community engagement today, highlighted by performances at DALEEE KTAOS, an open call at the Harwood Museum, and cultural gatherings at the Taos Public Library.
DALEEE KTAOS Hosts New Mexico Night This evening, DALEEE KTAOS kicked off its weekly New Mexico Night series with back-to-back performances by Chris & Rodney Arellano followed by Martin Martinez. Their free 5:30 PM set energized the crowd before open-mic singers took the stage at 6:30 PM. Later, DJ Beto spun Latin beats at 9 PM for Latin Night, drawing a steady flow of locals and visitors alike to celebrate Taos’s vibrant music scene.
Harwood Museum Launches GI Bill in Taos Exhibition Submissions The Harwood Museum of Art opened its Pursuit of Happiness: GI Bill in Taos exhibition today with a call for community contributions. From 9 AM to 5 PM, veterans and their families were invited to share personal memorabilia-photos, letters, medals, and stories-for a “living tribute” display running through May 31, 2026. Submissions will remain open through September 7 at the Museum on Ledoux Street, with all items returned post-exhibition.
Taos Public Library Presents Club Français At 5 PM, the Taos Public Library hosted its monthly Club Français meeting, offering French language practice and cultural exchange. The event welcomed participants of all proficiency levels and provided refreshments in the Library’s community room.
Yoga in the Stacks Earlier today, patrons gathered for Yoga in the Stacks at the Taos Public Library. The free, all-levels session combined breathing exercises with gentle postures amid the library’s historic architecture, fostering relaxation and community wellness.
Local residents can look forward to more weekly events, including Latin Night at DALEEE and additional educational programs at the library throughout September.
