Teyana Taylor Celebrates “Escape Room” Release with Star-Studded NYC Party

New York, NY - August 27, 2025 Multi-hyphenate artist Teyana Taylor rang in the release of her highly anticipated album and short film Escape Room with an exclusive listening party in Manhattan late last night.

The event, held at a SoHo loft transformed into a futuristic, post-apocalyptic lounge, drew industry insiders, friends and family to preview tracks from the 25-song project. Among the guests, English actor Aaron Pierre, who stars alongside Taylor in the accompanying short film, was spotted offering his unwavering support throughout the evening.

In addition to debuting songs like “Bed of Roses” and “Long Time,” Taylor treated attendees to an immersive audiovisual experience replicating scenes from the film-complete with noir-inspired lighting and a live dance performance choreographed by Taylor herself. In brief remarks, she described Escape Room as “a journey from heartbreak to healing, set to the soundtrack of my life.”

Set for wide release today via Def Jam Recordings, Escape Room marks Taylor’s first full musical offering since 2020’s The Album and includes collaborations with LaKeith Stanfield and King Combs. The short film, debuting simultaneously on Taylor’s YouTube channel, features Aaron Pierre and LaKeith Stanfield in a narrative exploring freedom and self-discovery.

Taylor will celebrate the release further with a series of pop-up listening events in Los Angeles and London later this week, followed by appearances on major talk shows and a headlining tour announcement expected in early September.
