Voyagers Update Brings Multi-Crew Starships and Twitch Drops to No Man’s Sky

LONDON, Aug. 28, 2025 (AFP) - Hello Games’ landmark “Voyagers” update for No Man’s Sky rolled out across all platforms yesterday, and today the developer is launching a weeklong series of Twitch Drops to reward viewers with in-game gear and cosmetics.

The Voyagers update (version 6.0) introduces fully customisable, Corvette-class starships with real interiors, from med-bays and sleep quarters to war rooms and teleporter hubs. Players can assemble hulls, wings, engines, furniture and decorative modules on a grid-based workshop, then invite friends aboard as crewmates for shared missions or freeform exploration. Corvettes can even be boarded mid-flight or boarded via hatch for spacewalking or atmospheric skydiving.

In parallel with the update, Hello Games today kicks off Twitch Drops running from 2 pm BST on Thursday, August 28 through 2 pm BST on Tuesday, September 2. Viewers watching any Drops-enabled No Man’s Sky stream can earn daily rewards-decals, buildable items, emotes, multi-tools, pets and a custom starship module-unlocking new loot at 15, 30, 60, 120 and 180 minutes of viewing each day.

Sean Murray, co-founder of Hello Games, described Voyagers as “one of our biggest updates ever” and praised its technical ambitions, noting that much of the ship-building technology is tied to the studio’s upcoming title Light No Fire. The free update is available now on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, while Twitch Drops are active today.
