Hayley Williams Unveils Final Version of Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party

August 28, 2025 | NEW YORK - Hayley Williams officially released the finalized sequence of her third solo album, Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party, today under her newly founded Post Atlantic label, accompanied by one previously unheard track, “Parachute.”

In a statement to Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, Williams explained that she initially dropped the album as 17 loose singles to gauge fan reactions and subvert traditional release strategies. The official version, presented in the intended order, begins with the assertive opener “Ice in My OJ” and concludes with the poignant vow of “I Won’t Quit on You,” followed by the newly unveiled “Parachute.”

Critical reception has been overwhelmingly positive. Rolling Stone’s review praised the project as her “most compelling solo effort to date,” highlighting its thematic cohesion and Williams’ raw vocal performances that confront grief and reinvention. The publication noted that the album’s bold percussion and eclectic influences-from post-Weezer humor to synth-pop flair-mark a significant evolution in her artistry.

Williams’ move comes after the conclusion of her two-decade contract with Atlantic Records and signals a new era of creative autonomy. In her conversation with Lowe, she reflected, “Today, I’m a more liberated artist than I was before, thanks to not being tied to a label. I never envisioned what this stage of my career would feel like.”

Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party is now available on all major streaming platforms and in a limited-edition CD run of 1,500 units, featuring exclusive artwork and liner notes.
