The Financial Times-Nikkei recently ranked Tampa as the top U.S. city for foreign business, and speakers highlighted USF’s role in providing “soft landing” support for international innovators through programs like the Tampa Bay Technology Incubator at the USF Research Park.
USF Football Season Opener Against No. 25 Boise State Tampa, FL - University of South Florida head coach Alex Golesh expressed optimism as his Bulls prepare to host 25th-ranked Boise State in their 2025 season opener at Raymond James Stadium. With quarterback Byrum Brown back from injury, Golesh called the nationally televised kickoff “the first chapter of writing the story of what this season is going to be.” Despite facing a Broncos squad that reached last season’s Fiesta Bowl, Golesh emphasized his team’s “process-driven culture” and cohesion after two consecutive bowl-eligible campaigns. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. ET, marking the beginning of a challenging nonconference slate that includes matchups against Florida and Miami.
