Sunrise Hosts Mega South Florida Job Fair at Amerant Bank Arena

SUNRISE, Fla. - On Thursday, August 28, 2025, Sunrise played host to one of South Florida’s largest employment gatherings as the Mega South Florida Job Fair opened its doors at Amerant Bank Arena, 1 Panther Parkway. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., more than two dozen employers-including the City of Sunrise and its Police Department-sought to fill thousands of positions across Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

Hiring managers and recruiters represented a diverse array of industries: sports and entertainment (Florida Panthers, Miami Dolphins), media (Cox Media Group), public safety (Sunrise Police Department, City of Sunrise), education (Kelly Education, teacher assistants), financial services (New York Life Insurance, Tropical Financial), logistics and utilities (USPS, Massey Services), hospitality and tourism (Princess Cruises), construction (84 Lumber), and healthcare (Life Alert, OneBlood). Openings ranged from entry-level customer service and food service roles to specialized positions in IT, account management and law enforcement.

Several organizations offered on-the-spot interviews and job offers. Job seekers were advised to arrive in professional attire with multiple copies of their résumé. Pre-registration was available online through Job News South Florida’s portal.

The arena’s staff reported robust attendance throughout the event, with lines forming early and many booths reporting hundreds of candidate interviews within the first two hours. Organizers emphasized the fair’s role in addressing the region’s ongoing demand for qualified workers amid economic expansion and workforce turnover.

For those unable to attend, organizers encouraged visiting www.jobnewssouthflorida.com to explore upcoming hiring events and virtual opportunities.
