Former NFL Linebacker Will Compton to Join ESPN’s “Get Up” as Part of “Bussin’ With The Boys” Partnership

New York, NY (August 28, 2025) - ESPN announced today that former NFL linebacker and podcast co-host Will Compton will make regular appearances on its morning show Get Up beginning September 4, 2025. Compton, alongside fellow podcast host Taylor Lewan, will bring segments from their popular show Bussin’ With The Boys to Get Up, SportsCenter, and other ESPN studio programming this football season.

Burke Magnus, ESPN’s President of Content, praised the addition: “What Taylor and Will have built with Bussin’ With The Boys is impressive, and it’s clear they know how to connect with fans. Their energy and chemistry will be great additions to the Get Up crew.”

“We’re fired up to join our new teammates at ESPN this fall,” Compton and Lewan said in a joint statement. “We’ve always said we’re just two guys who love ball and love telling stories, and now we get to bring Bussin’ With The Boys to the biggest stage in sports.”

The partnership marks a strategic move by ESPN to blend traditional studio programming with digital-native personalities, aiming to capture younger audiences increasingly drawn to podcasts and social media content. Compton and Lewan’s segments are expected to feature locker-room storytelling, game analysis, and interactive fan Q&A.

In addition to the ESPN deal, Compton’s podcast was named as part of a new tailgate activation by Blue Diamond Almonds, announced today, spotlighting Bussin’ With The Boys hosts at Big Ten football events this season.

On social media, Compton shared a teaser of the upcoming ESPN collaboration, writing, “The Boys are partnering with ESPN this season. Not even sure…”, sparking over 100,000 views within hours of posting.
