ARC Music Festival Kicks Off in Chicago

Chicago, August 29, 2025 - The fifth annual ARC Music Festival launched its Labor Day weekend celebration today at Union Park, drawing thousands of house and techno fans for an opening day of world-class performances.
Attendance was brisk, with Friday passes selling out early after organizers reported that 90 percent of all tickets had been claimed as of opening day. Despite a brief summer heat wave pushing temperatures into the mid-80s, festivalgoers flocked to the four uniquely themed stages, eager to hear both marquee headliners and underground favorites.
The festival gates opened at 2 p.m., and the first day lineup did not disappoint. Swiss duo Adriatique energized the crowd on The GRID with melodic techno, while DJ Tennis delivered a deep house set at Expansions. Eric Prydz, performing under his Pryda alias, brought his signature progressive sound to Area 909, and UK techno star Amelie Lens closed out the evening with a high-octane performance at Elrow’s enchanted forest stage.
Safety and smooth logistics were key priorities; entry lines moved swiftly with attendees advised to bring only permitted items, such as sealed personal care products and empty plastic water bottles. Multiple hydration stations and shaded rest areas helped fans beat the heat throughout the afternoon.
Tonight’s ARC After Dark series kicks off at nearby venues across the city, featuring extended sets from festival artists-including a special Pryda opening party at Radius-before returning to Union Park tomorrow for day two of Labor Day weekend festivities.
