Buffalo Bills Unveil “Cold Front” Rivalries Jersey Ahead of Season Opener

BUFFALO, N.Y., August 29, 2025 - In a move designed to ignite fan passion and celebrate one of the NFL’s most storied divisional matchups, the Buffalo Bills today revealed the official details of their 2025 “Rivalries” uniform, dubbed “Cold Front.” The announcement comes as part of the league-wide Nike Rivalries program, which features specially designed jerseys to be worn by AFC East and NFC West teams during key home games this season.
According to an NFL release, Buffalo’s “Cold Front” kit is an all-white ensemble accented by frosty blue and silver trim, evoking the team’s signature lake-effect snowstorms. The uniform highlights include:
- A cracked-ice texture across the shoulders, symbolizing the region’s harsh winter conditions
- A crystalline buffalo logo in metallic silver on the sleeve
- “Bills Mafia” stitched inside the back collar as a nod to the franchise’s passionate fan base
- White pants and a matching helmet featuring a metal-flake finish and a silver charging buffalo decal
The Bills will debut the new uniform during their Week 5 “Sunday Night Football” home game against the New England Patriots on October 5 at Highmark Stadium. That matchup-often regarded as one of the AFC East’s fiercest rivalries-marks the first time both Buffalo and New England will sport their respective Rivalries jerseys in the same contest.
NFL Chief Revenue Officer Renie Anderson praised the initiative, stating, “Together with Nike, we are harnessing the power of rivalry matchups to bring fan excitement and community pride to the next level”. The Rivalries program expands this year to include eight teams, with divisional foes in the AFC East and NFC West donning special uniforms for one home game each. Future installments will roll out across other divisions through 2028.
Replica versions of the Bills’ “Cold Front” jersey will go on sale starting September 9 via Nike.com, NFLShop.com, Fanatics.com, and at official team stores. Fans are already buzzing on social media, where early images of quarterback Josh Allen modeling the uniform have garnered thousands of likes and enthusiastic comments.
With the 2025 season set to kick off in just over a week, Buffalo’s icy new look promises to be a highlight of what should be another thrilling campaign for the Bills and their devoted “Bills Mafia.”
