No New Developments in Michael Hudak Case on August 29, 2025

MIAMI (August 29, 2025) - There were no new updates today in the ongoing legal case involving 29-year-old former WSVN and ABC Miami reporter Michael Hudak, who was arrested on August 27, 2025, on felony grand theft and burglary charges.
A Miami-Dade County court spokesperson confirmed that Hudak’s arraignment proceedings remain scheduled, but no additional hearings or filings took place on August 29. Court records indicate that the next status conference will be held on a future date to be determined by the court docket.
Hudak is accused of unlawfully taking a Rolex watch valued at approximately $16,000 from a neighbor’s home while covering neighborhood news assignments. He surrendered to Miami Police on Thursday and was booked into the Miami-Dade County Jail, where he remains in custody without bond.
Prosecutors have not filed any new motions, and no plea has been entered on Hudak’s behalf. His attorney has declined comment pending pretrial discovery. The case will proceed through standard pretrial motions before a judge ultimately sets a trial date.
