Powerball Announces Three Weekly Drawing Days

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - On Friday, August 29, 2025, Powerball officials confirmed that the lottery’s drawings will be held three times each week-every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time-effective immediately. The new schedule expands upon the longstanding Wednesday and Saturday drawings, adding Monday evenings to give players an additional chance to win the jackpot.
The announcement was made along with news that Saturday’s jackpot has soared to an estimated $1 billion, marking the sixth time in Powerball’s 33-year history the prize has reached that milestone. Players may choose between the full $1 billion annuity, paid over 30 years with 5 percent annual increases, or a lump-sum cash option of approximately $453.1 million before taxes.
Powerball® tickets remain $2 per play and are available in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are broadcast live from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee and streamed on Powerball.com. The odds of winning the jackpot remain 1 in 292.2 million.
Players are encouraged to purchase tickets well before the 10:59 p.m. ET cutoff time in their state to ensure eligibility for the new Monday drawing as well as the traditional Wednesday and Saturday drawings.
