Tim Meadows Debuts as ARGUS Agent Langston Fleury in Peacemaker Season 2

In the second episode of Peacemaker Season 2, actor and comedian Tim Meadows makes his long-awaited debut as Argus Agent Langston Fleury. The episode, released today on HBO Max, introduces Meadows’ character as backup for John Economos in the hybrid live-action/animated DC Universe series.

Langston Fleury is portrayed as an eccentric, bird-obsessed agent who claims to suffer from “bird blindness,” an unusual condition that prevents him from distinguishing between different species of birds. Despite his apparent competence in the field, Fleury’s quirky behavior and penchant for hurling humorous slurs at fellow agents steal the spotlight. His inability to accurately assess the size and threat level of a rampaging eagle-nicknamed Eagly-during a critical rescue scene highlights both the comedic and perilous aspects of his new role.

According to Beebom’s Shashank Shakya, Fleury is an original creation for the show and does not have a pre-existing counterpart in DC Comics lore. “There is no such character who would bear a resemblance to Langston Fleury in DC Comics,” Shakya writes, noting that the series’ writers devised Fleury specifically for Peacemaker’s evolving narrative.

Meadows, best known for his decade-long tenure on Saturday Night Live and roles in Mean Girls and Brooklyn Nine-Nine, adds his signature wit to the Peacemaker ensemble. Fans can look forward to seeing how Agent Fleury’s peculiar quirks will impact the team’s dynamics in upcoming episodes.
