Walmart Issues Multiple Food Recalls Across Dozens of States

August 29, 2025
Walmart today alerted customers to four separate food safety recalls affecting products sold in its stores, spanning cocktail shrimp, salad kits, ice cream and frozen shrimp.
Walmart and its suppliers have removed the following items from store shelves and advised consumers to return or dispose of affected products immediately:
- Aquastar Cocktail Shrimp (6 oz) A voluntary recall by Aquastar (USA) Corp covers select 6 oz packages of cocktail shrimp sold at Walmart stores in 28 states, including Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and Washington.
- Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit (6 / 8.3 oz) Taylor Fresh Foods expanded its August 26 voluntary recall of the Honey Balsamic Salad Kit after discovering packets of Asian Sesame Ginger dressing in place of the intended vinaigrette. The mix-up introduces undeclared sesame and soy allergens. Affected kits bear “TFRS” lot codes and “Best If Used By” dates through September 4, 2025, and were sold in 24 states from California to New York.
- Blue Bell Moo-llennium Crunch Ice Cream Blue Bell Creameries recalled limited half-gallon cartons of Moo-llennium Crunch ice cream that were mistakenly packaged in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cartons, introducing undeclared almond, walnut and pecan allergens. The recall spans 15 states, including Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Tennessee and Texas.
- Imported Frozen Shrimp Potentially Contaminated with Cesium-137 The FDA advises against consuming certain frozen shrimp imported from PT Bahari Makmur Sejati after detecting low-level cesium-137 contamination. Affected lots were sold under various brands, including Walmart’s Great Value label, in 13 states such as Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Texas.
Walmart spokespeople reaffirmed that “the health and safety of our customers is always a top priority. We have issued sales restrictions and removed all affected products from our impacted stores. We are working closely with suppliers and regulatory agencies to investigate and resolve these issues.”
Consumers who purchased any of the recalled products should return them to their point of purchase for a full refund or contact the manufacturers directly:

- Blue Bell consumer support: 979-836-7977 or [email protected]
