Powerball Officials Confirm Next Drawing Time

In a brief announcement issued on Friday, Powerball® lottery officials confirmed that the next drawing will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The drawing will be broadcast live from the Florida Lottery Draw Studio in Tallahassee and will also be available via live stream on Powerball.com.

Sales for Powerball tickets close one to two hours before the drawing in participating jurisdictions, with exact cut-off times varying by state. Players can purchase tickets for $2 per play, and may add the Power Play® option for an additional $1 to multiply non-jackpot prizes by 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, or 10x (the 10x multiplier is available when the advertised jackpot annuity is $150 million or less).

Powerball drawings are held three times a week-on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays-continuing a long-standing schedule designed to give players multiple opportunities each week. The announcement serves as a reminder to prospective participants that tonight’s deadline to buy tickets will arrive well before the 10:59 p.m. ET drawing.
