Country Singer Alexis Wilkins Files $5 Million Defamation Lawsuit

AUSTIN, Texas (August 30, 2025) - Country music artist and political commentator Alexis Wilkins, 26, has filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit today against former FBI agent-turned-podcaster Kyle Seraphin, alleging he maliciously branded her as an Israeli spy and accused her of using her romantic relationship with FBI Director Kash Patel as part of a “honeypot” operation.

Wilkins-who has been publicly linked to Patel since January 2023-claims that Seraphin, during a broadcast on August 22, falsely implied she was a former Mossad agent assigned to compromise and manipulate the FBI director for foreign intelligence objectives. Though Seraphin did not name her directly, Wilkins’ complaint contends his audience “clearly understood” he was referring to her.

In her federal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Wilkins asserts that Seraphin “fabricated this story for self-enriching clickbait,” and that his statements have caused her reputational harm and undermined her burgeoning career as a country singer and conservative commentator. The lawsuit emphasizes that Wilkins has never worked for any intelligence agency, has never been to Israel, and is not Jewish-branding the allegations “vile and absurd.” Her legal team is seeking both compensatory and punitive damages on the grounds of actual malice.

Seraphin, who served as an FBI counterterrorism agent before launching his podcast, has not yet publicly responded to the lawsuit. The case marks a high-profile clash between a prominent entertainer and a vocal critic of government figures, raising questions about the boundaries of commentary and defamation in the digital age.
