No New Developments in Amy Tripp Litigation as of August 30, 2025

TAMPA, FL - There were no court appearances or filings in the lawsuit between astrologer Amy Tripp and a senior Department of Defense official on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The case remains on the docket in Palm Beach County Circuit Court, with pretrial motions still pending.
A 17-page civil complaint was filed on August 22 alleging that Tripp engaged in a campaign of harassment, defamation, and attempted extortion against the unnamed official-widely believed to be Under Secretary Anthony Tata-following the end of their 15-month affair. In addition to the lawsuit, a temporary restraining order against Tripp was granted on August 7, prohibiting her from contacting the plaintiff or his family.
Tripp’s attorneys have repeatedly denied the allegations and have indicated they will seek dismissal of the complaint when the court reconvenes. No hearings or ruling deadlines are scheduled for today, and both parties await a judge’s decision on forthcoming motions. The court calendar shows a backlog of matters through early September, and Tripp’s case is tentatively set for a motion hearing later this month.
Background: Amy Tripp, a professional astrologer known online as “Starheal,” offers paid consultations and boasts more than 123,000 followers on X (formerly Twitter). She first attracted widespread attention in mid-2024 when she correctly predicted the exact date of President Joe Biden’s withdrawal from the 2024 race. After her relationship with the DoD official ended, the lawsuit alleges she made hundreds of harassing calls and threatening social media posts aimed at the official and his wife, demanding up to $25,000 in exchange for silence.
The litigation remains pending and no substantive court action occurred on August 30, 2025.
