BTS’s V Recruits ARMY for Exclusive Han River Running Crew During Weverse Live

SEOUL, Aug. 30, 2025 - During a surprise one-on-one appearance on Jungkook’s Weverse Live broadcast yesterday evening, BTS’s V (Kim Taehyung) announced he has begun his post-U.S. training regimen and invited ARMY to join his Han River running crew, complete with a strict set of rules and workout tips.

V, sporting a new short haircut that he quipped was to keep hair out of his eyes, revealed that he had already completed two days of intense running since returning to Korea on Aug. 27. Describing the sessions, he admitted, “I ran until I was so exhausted I drooled and nearly collapsed,” but emphasized the importance of consistency in fitness.

To help fellow ARMY members achieve similar results, V outlined the following running crew conditions:

  • Run three times per week at the Han River alongside V and Jungkook.
  • No acknowledging other runners or engaging in conversation during runs.
  • Do not overtake V (to preserve “running pride”).
  • Do not photograph any drool or sweat.
  • If you need to slow to a walk, don’t worry-it’s part of the process.

Sharing fitness insights, V explained that maintaining a heart rate of 120-130 bpm is a scientifically proven method for effective fat burning. He also set a personal weight goal to shed 2-3 kg, aiming to return to his pre-military service weight of 61 kg (up from his current 67-68 kg); during service he gained up to 80 kg.

In addition to his fitness update, V briefly touched on his recent first-pitch appearance for the Los Angeles Dodgers on Aug. 25, confirming he had intentionally thrown at a safe speed despite having the capability to reach 105 mph. The event remains a hot topic among international fans, who continue to share highlight clips and reactions across social media.
