Glen Powell Debuts Full-Length “Chad Powers” Trailer on ESPN’s College GameDay

ATLANTA, August 30, 2025 - Hulu unveiled today the inaugural full-length trailer for its upcoming sports comedy series “Chad Powers”, starring Glen Powell as a disgraced college quarterback seeking redemption under an assumed identity. Powell premiered the trailer live on ESPN’s College GameDay this morning, showcasing his transformation into Russ Holliday’s alter ego, Chad Powers, complete with prosthetics and heavy makeup.

The series, produced by NFL legends Eli and Peyton Manning alongside Omaha Productions and ESPN, follows Holliday’s quest to regain his football glory eight years after a career-derailing blunder. In the trailer, Powell-credited as co-creator, co-writer, and executive producer-delivers a blend of athletic prowess and comedic timing as he dons the Chad Powers persona to walk onto a struggling Southern college football team.

In conjunction with the trailer debut, Collider released a set of promotional stills depicting Powell and the ensemble cast-including Steve Zahn, Perry Mattfeld, Toby Huss, and Frankie A. Rodriguez-in full gridiron garb during a mock press conference and on-field scenes. The images emphasize the show’s balance of humor and heartfelt underdog drama, with Holliday’s dual identities already creating on- and off-field tension.

“Chad Powers” is slated to premiere on Hulu September 30 with its first two episodes, followed by weekly releases every Tuesday for the remaining four episodes. The six-part series was co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, directed by Tony Yacenda, and features executive-production credits from Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart, Kati Fernandez, Adam Fasullo, and Luvh Rakhe, alongside the Manning brothers and Powell’s Barnstorm Productions.
