D23 Delights Fans at Destination D23 with Exclusive Events and 2026 Expo Dates Announced

ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 30, 2025 - Disney’s official fan-club event, Destination D23, kicked off its all-day live coverage today at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, delivering a slate of announcements and member-exclusive experiences for D23 Gold Members.

Live Coverage Underway From 10:45 a.m. EDT, Disney Parks enthusiasts around the globe have been tuning in for real-time panels featuring Imagineers, filmmakers and special guests, as well as breaking news spanning Disney Parks, films, streaming and more.

Kuzcotopia Night at Typhoon Lagoon Tonight, all Destination D23 ticket holders are invited to D23 Kuzcotopia Night at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park. Celebrating 25 years of The Emperor’s New Groove, the after-hours party includes complimentary snacks, member-only entertainment, photo ops and themed activities honoring Disney’s water-park legacy.

2026 “Ultimate Disney Fan Event” Dates Revealed Michael Vargo, head of D23, announced that the next D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event will return to Anaheim, California, from August 14-16, 2026. The blockbuster fan-expo will again occupy the Anaheim Convention Center and Honda Center, offering marquee presentations, immersive experiences and exclusive shopping.

First-Ever D23 “FAN-bassador” Introduced Disney Legend Jodi Benson, the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid, was unveiled as the inaugural D23 FAN-bassador, pledging to engage with members at events throughout the coming year in support of the 2026 Expo.

What’s Next for D23 Members In addition to tonight’s water-park celebration, Destination D23 continues through Sunday, offering deep dives into Disney’s cinematic slate, Imagineering projects and fan-favorite archival exhibits. Attendees can also reserve shopping windows for exclusive trading pins and merchandise at Mickey’s of Glendale and other pop-up retail locations.
