Oregon Ducks Freshman Dakorien Moore Makes Impact in Season Opener

EUGENE, Ore. - True freshman wide receiver Dakorien Moore delivered an eye-catching performance as the No. 7 Oregon Ducks opened their 2025 campaign Saturday, Aug. 30, against the Montana State Bobcats at Autzen Stadium.

Moore, the Ducks’ top recruit in the 2025 class, took an end-around handoff 17 yards around the right side in the first quarter, setting up a short-field touchdown for Oregon and helping to establish an early 14-0 lead. His crisp execution on the play highlighted both his speed and vision, traits that garnered him five-star status during high school.

After flashing his playmaking ability on offense, Moore also contributed to the momentum generated by Oregon’s special teams and defense. His end-around directly followed a blocked punt that pinned Montana State inside its own 20-yard line, exemplifying the Ducks’ all-phase dominance in the opening stanza.

Oregon coasted to a commanding victory, and Moore’s explosive run reinforced expectations that the freshman will play a pivotal role in the Ducks’ pursuit of another College Football Playoff berth.
