33-Year-Old Designer Found Dead on Yacht; Wellness Retreat and Live Concerts Highlight Montauk Activity on August 30, 2025

A tragic discovery at the Montauk Yacht Club overshadowed a day of high-energy events and live music as summer winds down in Montauk.

In the early hours of Saturday, local authorities and Good Samaritans attempted life-saving measures after a 911 call alerted them to the presence of an unconscious woman aboard a yacht berthed at the Montauk Yacht Club. The victim was later identified as 33-year-old Martha Nolan O’Slattara, a Manhattan-based designer originally from Carlow, Ireland. Despite CPR and emergency aid, Nolan O’Slattara was pronounced dead at the scene. The Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause of death following an autopsy.
