Dyan Cannon Denied White House Entry over Passport Age Discrepancy

Washington, D.C. - Legendary actress Dyan Cannon found herself turned away from a White House tour on Saturday after discrepancies in her passport raised security concerns. The 88-year-old star, known for her roles in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice and Heaven Can Wait, and three of her friends were stopped at a checkpoint when Secret Service agents flagged conflicting age information on her travel documents.

According to a video Cannon shared on social media, the group-podcast co-hosts Christine Avanti-Fischer, Kym Douglas, and Tracey Bregman-lined up expectantly only to be told they could not proceed. Douglas, filming the incident, quipped, “We can’t get in because someone lied about their age.” Cannon then burst into laughter and admitted, “Years ago, I lied about my age on my passport.” Undeterred, she promised, “And I’d do it again… it’s nobody’s business what the number is they’ve pinned on me.”

Despite the hiccup, the quartet made light of the situation. Avanti-Fischer joked, “If we get in, it’s going to be a miracle of God,” while Bregman later commented under Cannon’s Instagram post, “Hilarious. Love you so but seriously, how can I change my age.” In her post caption, Cannon teased, “Those security guards were so handsome!” and reaffirmed that age is “just a blinkin’ number” that does not define her spirit.

Cannon, who celebrated her 88th birthday last May, rose to prominence in the late 1960s and has enjoyed a six-decade career in film and television, including two Academy Award nominations. She remains active on social media and in public appearances, often embracing her age with humor and gusto-and now adding this White House misadventure to her storied life in Hollywood.
