Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Ohio; Jackpot Rises to $1.1 Billion

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Aug. 31, 2025) - Lottery players in Ohio were urged to double-check their tickets after a Powerball ticket sold in the state matched four of the five white balls plus the Powerball to claim a $50,000 prize in Saturday night’s drawing. The winning numbers were 3, 18, 22, 27 and 33, with a Powerball of 17.

No one hit the estimated $1 billion jackpot, which continues to climb ahead of Monday’s drawing. The next Powerball drawing is set for September 1, with the jackpot projected at approximately $1.1 billion.

The Ohio Lottery Commission reminds players that tickets must be redeemed within 180 days of the drawing date and offers multiple claim options: prizes up to $599.99 can be claimed at any retailer, prizes up to $25,000 at regional offices or online via the mobile app, and larger prizes at the Commission headquarters.
