No Powerball Jackpot Winner; Prize Climbs to $1.1 Billion for Monday

Monday, September 1, 2025 (AP) -
A Powerball jackpot remains unclaimed after Saturday night’s drawing, pushing the grand prize to an estimated $1.1 billion for tonight’s Labor Day drawing. No ticket matched all six numbers-3, 18, 22, 27, 33 and the Powerball 17-with a Power Play multiplier of 3.
Despite the jackpot roll, there were dozens of lower-tier winners:
Prize Tier | Winners | Prize Amount |
---|---|---|
Match 5 + Power Play | 3 (CO, IN, NH) | $2 million each |
Match 5 | 9 (CA (4), CT, FL, IL, MA, PA) | $1 million each |
Match 4 + Power Play | 27 | $150 000 each |
Match 4 | 115 | $50 000 each |
Tonight’s drawing will be the 40th since the jackpot was last won on May 31, 2025, in California, and will be held at 10:59 p.m. ET, broadcast live from Tallahassee, Fla., and streamed on Powerball.com.
If a fortunate ticket matches all six numbers this evening, the winner may choose between an annuity of $1.1 billion paid over 30 years or a one-time cash option of approximately $498.4 million before taxes. The overall odds of winning the jackpot stand at 1 in 292.2 million.
