Powerball Jackpot Rolls Over to $1.1 B After No Winner on August 30

Monday, September 1, 2025 (AP) - No ticket matched all six numbers in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, pushing the estimated jackpot to $1.1 billion for tonight’s Labor Day drawing, the fifth-largest prize in game history.
The winning numbers drawn on Saturday, August 30, were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33 and the Powerball 17, with a Power Play multiplier of 3x. With no grand-prize winner, the annuitized jackpot stands at $1.1 billion, or a lump-sum cash option of $498.4 million before taxes.
Despite the rollover, several players struck it rich in lower tiers:
Prize Tier | Winners | Prize Amount |
---|---|---|
Match 5 + Power Play | 3 tickets (CO, IN, NH) | $2 million each |
Match 5 (all white balls) | 9 tickets (CA x 4, CT, FL, IL, MA, PA) | $1 million each |
Match 4 + Powerball | 115 tickets | $50,000 each |
Match 4 (without Powerball) | 27 tickets | $150,000 each |
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. Tonight’s drawing will mark the 40th consecutive drawing since the jackpot was last won on May 31 in California, a streak that is approaching the game’s record of 42 rollovers set in April 2024.
Tickets are sold for $2 per play in 45 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Players can add the Power Play option for an extra $1 to multiply non-jackpot prizes up to 10x. Good luck!
