Planet Fitness Announces Labor Day 2025 Hours

September 1, 2025 | NATIONAL - Planet Fitness confirmed today that the vast majority of its U.S. clubs will remain open on Labor Day, Monday, September 1, offering members continued access to facilities even as the country observes the federal holiday. Most locations will operate during their standard hours, from 5:00 a.m. to midnight.

While the chain’s corporate policy maintains these regular hours for all holidays except Christmas, individual franchisees retain the flexibility to adjust schedules based on local demand. Members are therefore advised to verify holiday hours with their home club-either by checking the Planet Fitness app, visiting the club’s webpage, or calling the front desk-before heading out to avoid any unexpected closures or early lock-outs.

In addition to remaining open on Labor Day, Planet Fitness will again observe reduced hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, and will close entirely on Christmas Day to allow staff to spend time with family.

With thousands of clubs nationwide, Planet Fitness membership also grants holiday workout options for travelers. Out-of-town members can use any participating location; however, confirming each club’s holiday hours in advance is recommended to ensure seamless access.
