Powerball Drawing on September 1, 2025: Jackpot Climbs to $1.1 Billion, No Grand Prize Winner

NEW YORK (Sept. 1, 2025) - Monday’s Powerball drawing produced a $1.1 billion jackpot but failed to produce a grand prize winner, extending the streak of rollovers and creating one of the largest jackpots in the game’s history.

The winning numbers drawn at 10:59 p.m. ET were White balls: 8 - 23 - 25 - 40 - 53 Powerball: 5

With no ticket matching all six numbers, the jackpot rolls over, marking the fifth-largest Powerball prize ever offered. The estimated cash option for a single winner stands at $498.4 million.

Although there was no jackpot winner, 12 tickets matched all five white balls to claim $1 million each. An additional set of prizes included numerous lower-tier wins:

  • 115 tickets matched four white balls plus the Powerball (without Power Play), securing $50,000 each.
  • 27 tickets matched four white balls without the Powerball, winning $150,000 each when Power Play was applied.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 3, at 10:59 p.m. ET, when the jackpot will continue to grow if still unclaimed. Tickets cost $2 per play, with an optional $1 Power Play multiplier available to boost non-jackpot prizes.
