Jesse McBee Details Farm Management Amid Patriarch’s FBI Scandal

NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2025 - Jesse McBee, second eldest son of reality TV star Steve McBee Sr., spoke exclusively with Us Weekly today about how he and his brothers are steering McBee Farm & Cattle Co. through their father’s ongoing legal turmoil. As Steve McBee Sr. awaits sentencing following his November 2024 guilty plea to federal crop insurance fraud charges, the McBee sons have divided responsibilities to keep the family business afloat. Steven McBee Jr. leads overall operations and their meat-processing division; Cole McBee oversees crop production; and Jesse himself manages construction and off-farm enterprises during peak seasons. Though Brayden McBee’s exact duties were not detailed, he remains active on the farm. The brothers pledged to capture “the good, the bad, the ugly” of their situation on Bravo’s The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, highlighting their resolve to face “the biggest challenge” of their lives together.

During the season 2 finale, which aired today, Steven Jr. finally disclosed to Jesse and Cole that their father had been under FBI investigation throughout 2024, leading to his November guilty plea for defrauding the U.S. Department of Agriculture of more than $4 million. Steve McBee Sr., 52, faces a maximum sentence of 30 years when his case returns to court, currently slated for November 2025. Despite the uncertainty, Jesse emphasized that the brothers engage in “daily discussions” with their father about both the investigation and the farm’s future, vowing to support one another “no matter what” as they adapt to their evolving roles.
