Five $50,000 Arizona Lottery Prizes Still Unclaimed as Deadline Nears

PHOENIX, Ariz. - The Arizona Lottery reported today that five $50,000 prizes from Saturday’s Powerball drawing remain unclaimed, heightening urgency for ticket holders to come forward before the statutory deadline.

According to Lottery officials, of the nine tickets nationwide matching five white balls but not the Powerball, five were sold in Arizona and have yet to be redeemed. Four of these tickets were purchased in the Phoenix metropolitan area-in Surprise (two tickets), Phoenix and Avondale-while the fifth was sold in Lake Havasu City. Claimants must present their winning tickets to an Arizona Lottery office or authorized retailer no later than 180 days from the drawing date to receive their prize.

“We encourage any players who purchased Powerball tickets in those locations on Saturday night to check their numbers and visit an Arizona Lottery office as soon as possible,” said an Arizona Lottery spokesperson. “Unclaimed prizes revert to benefit state programs, so it’s important winners don’t miss out.”

Prizes of $50,000 can be claimed at any Arizona Lottery office. Winners who require assistance or have questions may contact the Lottery’s customer service line at 1-800-639-3863 or visit ArizonaLottery.com for office locations and hours. All winners must be 21 years of age or older and provide valid identification when claiming their prize.

Deadline for claiming these prizes is Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Any prize not claimed by that date will be forfeited and redirected to the state’s education and public health initiatives.
